Abstract is something that concentrates in itself the essential qualities of anything more extensive or more general, or of several things; essence. Symmetry, geometry, repetition, order and perspective.

Above: Astronomical Twilight at the Rotunda at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. Besides Sunset, there are all these interesting terms associated with sunset data like Civil Twilight, Nautical Twilight and Astronomical Twilight. According to the charts I took this picture 20 minutes after Sunset and 10 minutes before Civil Twilight, precisely at Astronomical Twilight.

Below: The Ceramic Gods on the rooftop of Casa Milà, a building created by Gaudi in Barcelona. There is not a single right angle in the place, either in the interior or the exterior. Because of its unevenness, the building was called La Pedrera – The Quarry by the local people. I asked myself, how did the right angle become so pervasive in our environment that we perceive the lack of it as something strange. After all, there are no right angles in nature, and how did we learn to square everything off.
